INTERNATIONAL FINISHER-  The European Recording Orchestra announced that Sam's works are in the top 25% of all entrants in a worldwide contest.

 
NATIONAL FINISHER - Sam's composition "Steadfast Spirit" finished top 5 in a contest hosted by the National Flute Association (Multiple Flutes Division). It premiered at the Texas Flute Society convention by Flutes Unlimited (Dallas-Fort Worth) under the direction of Ellen Keller.

Verbal commitments to perform include: Dallas Youth Symphony, Crane School of Music (SUNY-Potsdam), Coastal Carolina, Northern Illinois University, Song of Angels (Los Angeles), University of Arizona, Friends University (KS), and professional flute choirs from Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
