Two Chamber Works by American Composer Samuel J. Fettig

Kazakhstan's rich musical heritage has inspired two of my recent chamber compositions, Jorğa and Akbayan. Although the works take different approaches to their source material, both reflect my admiration for Kazakh musical traditions and my interest in bringing those traditions into a contemporary classical setting.

Both compositions have received recognition in international composition competitions, and I would be especially honored to have them performed by musicians in Kazakhstan and throughout the broader region.
